Locating Your Dog With A GPS Dog Collar
Technology has advanced in our lifetime. Since many consider a pet a member of the family, one of the best ways to protect that family member is by the use of a GPS dog collar. When your dog escapes from the year, do you want him to be helpless and alone?
Dogs are lost for many reasons. Whatever the reason, it often brings heartache to the families to which the pet belongs. Kids and sometimes Mom and Dad shed tears as a family member has gone missing and no one seems to know where he has gone. Posters with Fido’s picture are placed around town and rewards are offered. The sad fact is that many times, Fido is never found. He is left to fend for himself, and may die due to hunger, injury or disease. Until now, with a GPS dog collar. With the touch of a button you can find Fido and bring him home again.
The idea is simple enough. Attach a GPS receiver to the dogs collar. Whenever the dog is not where he should be, activate the GPS system installed to your cell phone. Immediately, the GPS receiver on the dogs collar is activated. The SIM card on his receiver sends the location of your family friend back to your phone. In seconds, you know your dogs location. You can even give the dog boundaries. If he crosses those boundaries, you get an alert.
GPS dog collars can be purchased in two ways. The first is like a no contract cell phone. You pay big at first, but then have no monthly charge. The second is like getting a free cell phone. Little charge at first, then you must pay for a contracted period of months. This system only gives you the notice when your dog passes his boundary. Then you must contact the company providing the service to get the rest of the information at a fee. The former system lets you have all the information without any further fee.
To know exactly where he is, you have to contact the service providing company for more information and here comes the monthly fees. The expensive system gives you all the information you need, like the exact dog place on the map, how far he is, and how you can reach him the fastest way.
There are many brand names and companies selling these devices. That is a good thing as customers will have the option to choose the best deal available that they can afford and suits them the best. The thing is there are two parties involved in developing and providing customers with the dog tracking systems.
When buying a pet tracking system keep in mind that you will want a lightweight collar that does not bother your pet. You want a collar that will stay on and that the pet cannot chew to remove. A collar that is off your pet will not allow you to locate him.
We love our pets and treat them as part of the family. Why not make the investment to be sure that they are always safe and will be safely found.
