The Dangers Of A Flea Bite

If you have flea bites and start to run a fever, it is very crucial that you contact your doctor immediately.

These tools are used in a sealed room, and blast the entire chamber in chemicals that are lethal to fleas. A flea bite has many characteristics. Use of repellents and giving your pet flea medication can help lower the number of bites that you, your family and your pets have to endure. When you suffer a flea bite, you run the risk of picking up a disease from the flea. As a flea bite can pose an allergy risk to some people, scientists have developed several methods that can be used to quickly eliminate fleas.

It is because they can change hosts that they pose so many problems. Like many parasites, fleas carry remnants of the blood of previous hosts in them. A popular method is through the use of flea bombs or foggers. They are small, and often tend to be red. In many instances, a flea bite will only cause discomfort and itching that can linger for up to two weeks.

The normal bite will take up to two weeks to heal, and does not need doctor’s attention unless the wounds become infected. Fleas are parasitic insects, feeding off of the blood of its host for nourishment. This is due to the substance in the saliva of a flea that allows them to bite through the skin. This allows them to change hosts almost at will. However, these chemicals are also toxic to humans, so they should be used with caution and care.

This is one of the reasons that it is recommended that you address a flea infestation as quickly as possible. When you are bit by a flea, it is important that you begin treating your home against infestation. This causes the wound to itch. Often, there will be several bites in a line, where the flea has changed its feeding ground. However, there are consequences of getting bitten that many people do not consider.

The sooner a flea problem is addressed, the less risk you run of picking up a disease from them. While they cannot fly, fleas are one of the worlds best jumpers, able to travel distances that far exceeds their body size. If you have suffered from a flea bite, you know how irritating and painful they can be. These bites can cause diseases, as well as minor to severe allergic reactions.
