Puppies Growing Up the Right Way
A sweet pup would usually be depicted as a pet with a warm nose, watery big brown eyes and an anxious way of licking that you would always want to feel. Whether it could be from those tiny children, to teens and to those sturdy men, a puppy can level the playing field fast.
Isn’t it so comforting and sweet every time a small pup would always find a way to be nestled into your arms or feel you embrace them and make them feel needed? What dog keeper hasn’t thought, “I wish he could remain a pup forever?” In a matter of time, the weight of your teenage boy as well as the amount of food that he consumes is nothing compared to that of your dog that was once a pup.
If a pup with a very young age is the one that you have opted to bring home as a pet, you will be given the opportunity to school him on your own terms so that he could adapt to your lifestyle and environment. You also get to enjoy those comic moments when a puppy makes discoveries like chasing his own tail or catching a ball. These times are so unforgettable. If the old saying, “You can’t teach an old dog a new trick” is something that you truly believe in, then starting off with a puppy should be the thing that you must do so that raising him in your own terms and educating him to suit your needs and lifestyle can really be possible.
The natural traits of the dog’s breed becomes more noticeable as the dog is beginning to reach its maturity or as its passes the phase of being a pup. Those violent looking and intimidating watchdogs were also able to melt the hearts of their owners with their charming looks during the times when they were still just pups. Once grown, that same dog can stare a hole through an intruder instantly be prepared to rip his hearts out to protect his territory (and his owners).
A massive amount of repetitive educating is what those show dogs need even if they seem gentler compared to any dog breeds. If you want the show dog to execute on instruction, letting him be spoilt for quite some times particularly in between trainings can be just confusing to his part. It is more likely for those dogs which are given various roles to take whatever it is sincerely, thus you shouldn’t abuse that trait and you might as well be serious.
Choose those kinds of dogs which are small in nature and don’t tend to grow into a large size to preserve that pup sense all throughout the doggie’s life. There are dogs where their breed calls for a constant effort of cuddling and caressing.
But the truth of the matter is, those dogs are less likely to be tolerant with inactivity when they are still in the pup phase but as soon as they get mature enough, patience is just their virtue and somehow, inertia is also something that they relish provided that they are being cuddled. Being a pup is more of like going through the stage of being a young child – wherein the time to explore, run, get scratched or bumped and the like are just the moments that they enjoy.
Discovering new things is just what most puppies are so excited about – that all or most of the commands you gave tend to be quickly blocked. Roaming around and even going out to explore the places that they have never been before such as outside your home up to the areas where you can no longer protect them are just the usual things that they can’t avoid doing.
Life with a puppy can be both wonderful and exhausting. Like any creatures in this world, a puppy would dearly want your love and care, so deal with him with due respect and all the gentleness that you can give while you are in the mode of trying to penalize him. pups coming from the same breed doesn’t guarantee the thought that they can actually be the same so you cant just compare their traits as they each has their own distinct characteristics.
Personalities and abilities differ from one pup to another, so, during his schooling, he will improve in a way that is based in his own pace and not corresponding to the pace that his siblings had gone through or to the dog that you previously had. Either way, dogs can turn into adults who just seem to get on your nerves with its irritating behaviors but were once as charming and as fascinating as babies, just like the way mankind is. So having a dog means committing all your love for him just the way you do with your other loved ones all throughout your life.
