Why You Should Train Your Dog

Is training your dog very important to you? It is essential to train your dog because it improves the value of life for you as an owner and your pet’s life.

Dogs are such bundles of joy. From the cuteness of a puppy to the deep loyalty of an adult, dogs are truly man’s best friend. However, dogs are very pliable animals; who they are and who they become depends in large part on how they are trained and how they are treated within their family. One of the great things about dogs and puppies is their deep interest in filling their family role and making their family happy. As humans, we can take full advantage of this characteristic and train our dogs to reach their fullest potential as members of our family.

The significance of training your dog has to go further than the very fundamental level of safety or the avoidance of property damage and physical injury. Dogs are by nature pack animals and early on in life they recognize a social hierarchy. As the dog’s owner you must be at the top of that hierarchy, for the sake of the sanity of both of you.

Dogs are very intelligent animals because they can recognize that you are the head of the group and this brings them satisfaction because they know they are part of your pack. And through this, they will follow your commands for they know they are safe from harm and they will be feed properly because they know they have a leader.

The first thing you do as an owner, you should train your dog with consistency. Dogs love to do things in a daily basis. They do things regularly. You must be consistent in both verbal cues and hand signals. You must give your dog a precise time in a day to do things. For instance, early morning you will walk your dog outside and after teach him how to go to a bathroom. Through this, dogs will know who controls them.

Walking with your dog is very important in any life of a dog. It is a good exercise for your dog and his capability in running wild will be limited. Through this, your dog may be able to walk without restraint, but you should allow this if only your fundamental training is absolute.

Coaching your dog will bring you happiness and peace of mind, for you will able to teach him basic training that is essential for both of you. Through this, as dog owner, you will be satisfied by things you teach him. Yes, commanding may sound tyrannical for others and they do not like it. But when dealing with your dogs, on the other hand, it is very important for the good of all people.
